On the rare occasion my kitchen table doesn’t have at least 3 crayons, a dirty utensil, mail from last February and at least one work item on it, I like to dress it up a bit to remind myself I’ve still got it.

And now is the time, because everywhere you look, run an errand or stalk on Instagram is reminding you that you need to get your house. ready. for. the. holidays. We get it, world, we get it.

Since I know that this beautiful table will only last for a mere minute or two, I prefer not to overspend. Therefore, please check out my swoon-worthy tablescape inspiration c/o Maison de Cinq and then a picture of my version. Most of the items are from Michael’s because there’s a store two minutes from my son’s school and sales, duh. The gold garland is the focal point and it is from Valley Forge Flowers and I am truly obsessed with it. My amazing mother-in-law is lending me [update: she gifted them to me!] the taper candle holders from the early 1900s because like I said – she is amazing. Last but not least, the greenery is from one of our trees outside. Disclaimer – only one Mercury Glass votive was harmed in the process of making this tablescape. Most items are linked below.

It was actually so easy and so fun to do and it really ties the kitchen together and makes me feel good. I highly suggest having a glass of wine by yourself at the table to feel sophisticated after the kids go to bed. Speaking of, time to go listen to Elmo’s Christmas playlist on Spotify for the 400th time.
